Belfry Alternative: Compare Operational Fit
A Belfry alternative needs a clear payroll boundary. Belfry markets payroll services and tax filings as well as security operations. CheckpointGuard supports operational payroll preparation and labour-cost review. Those are different scopes. Public sources checked 10 September 2026.
Start with the payroll requirement
Belfry's Payroll & HR page describes gross-to-net calculations, direct deposit and tax filings for the US market. If you need that service scope, evaluate its regional eligibility, responsibilities and contract terms directly. CheckpointGuard is not a statutory payroll processor and is not presented here as a replacement for those services.
When CheckpointGuard may fit
CheckpointGuard may fit security teams keeping payroll processing with an existing provider while improving Android patrol records, GPS visibility, reporting, scheduling and attendance review. Confirm that the operational records and workforce-cost views match the preparation work your supervisors do. Its field app is Android-only; a native iOS field app is not available.
Run a trial around one site, an overnight shift and an unresolved issue. Keep planned hours, recorded attendance and reviewed pay figures separate so that the evaluation does not confuse an assignment with work actually performed.
When Belfry may fit better
Belfry may be a better fit when a US security company wants payroll services, HR support, benefits administration and billing alongside operations. Its plans describe selectable modules rather than requiring every customer to purchase the entire suite. Confirm the services included in the specific package offered.
Review the field workflow as well
Belfry documents GPS visibility, NFC or geofence tours, custom reporting, a client portal and patrol/dispatch workflows. This page makes no claim about unverified QR support or device parity. Ask for a demonstration on the intended guard phone.
For CheckpointGuard, QR/NFC interactions and GPS records provide operational context. They do not establish that all duties were completed; a delayed offline upload does not become live confirmation. Compare how each supervisor sees exceptions instead of assuming a map alone proves service delivery.
Pricing comparison
Belfry describes per-active-employee monthly charging and offers live or interactive demos. No numeric public tariff or free account-trial duration is asserted here. CheckpointGuard has public EUR plan prices excluding VAT and a standard 14-day Google Gold trial for two sites and two guards.
Price an operations-only requirement separately from payroll processing, billing and benefits services. A lower quoted amount for a narrower workflow is not a like-for-like saving.
Official pricing checked: 2026-09-10.
Confirm whether the Belfry quote includes operations, payroll services, HR or billing. Those packages are not automatically equivalent to CheckpointGuard Gold.
Plan scope and pricing units differ; compare the configuration you would actually purchase. No currency conversion or savings claim is made.
| Product / plan | Published price | Billing unit and scope |
|---|---|---|
| CheckpointGuard Gold | €77/month | 1–3 guards; monthly billing. Prices exclude VAT. |
| Belfry | No verified numeric public tariff; request a quote | Per active employee/month; configurable packages. |
