CheckpointGuard Android guard patrol app showing active patrol status, hotel selection, live map, stop patrol button, SOS, messages, flash, and shift controls.

The Android guard app keeps field patrol actions focused around patrol status, location updates, NFC scans, SOS alerts, and messages.

Keep the shift controls in one place

The guard sees patrol status, the selected hotel or site, map context, start and stop controls, SOS, messages and flashlight access without opening the supervisor dashboard.

Report location during an active patrol

During a running patrol, accepted location updates appear on the operations dashboard and build the patrol history. Captured GPS points can be queued during a connection loss and replayed after reconnection without replacing a newer live presence timestamp.

Scan NFC checkpoints online or offline

Each NFC visit is tied to the guard, checkpoint, patrol and captured time. If the connection is unavailable, the app keeps the scan in durable local storage and retries it with the same client event ID after reconnection.

Record visits to required patrol zones

Reliable location points are checked against required geofence zones around entrances, parking areas and outdoor routes. Offline points are replayed in captured-time order so valid historical visits can be recorded at their original time.

Raise an SOS from the field

A guard can raise an SOS from the patrol screen so supervisors receive the guard, site, location context and operational history needed to review the event.

Keep field updates with the patrol record

Messages stay beside patrol activity, NFC scans, geofence visits and SOS alerts, so the supervisor does not have to reconstruct the shift from separate chat threads.
