2. Service description

CheckpointGuard is a B2B security operations platform for security companies, hotels, resorts, patrol teams, and multi-location guard operations.

The service may include:

3. Business use only

CheckpointGuard is intended for business and security operations use by authorized organizations, admins, supervisors, and guards.

It is not intended for children or consumer social use.

Users must only access the service if they are authorized by their organization or by CheckpointGuard.

4. Accounts and access

Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure.

Users must not share accounts, impersonate another user, access unauthorized data, or attempt to bypass access controls.

Customer organizations are responsible for assigning the correct admins, guards, hotels, sites, and permissions.

5. Customer responsibility

Customer organizations are responsible for informing their guards, employees, contractors, and staff about the use of CheckpointGuard.

This includes informing them about:

6. Location and patrol monitoring

The Android Guard App may collect and transmit location data during active patrol or shift workflows.

This is used to support:

Location tracking should stop when patrol tracking is stopped, the shift is ended, or the user signs out, depending on the app workflow and customer configuration.

The Admin App may display guard location and operational data to authorized admins.

The Android Admin App may also use the admin device location only while the app is open and the admin is using map edit tools, such as placing NFC checkpoints or geofences. This is used to suggest a checkpoint or geofence position on the map. It is not continuous admin tracking, and the admin can adjust the marker manually.

7. SOS alerts

SOS alerts are operational alerts intended to notify authorized supervisors or admins.

CheckpointGuard does not replace police, ambulance, fire department, emergency services, local emergency procedures, or human judgment.

Customer organizations remain responsible for emergency response procedures.

8. Aegis AI

CheckpointGuard may include an AI assistant called Aegis.

Aegis may summarize, explain, warn, or suggest actions based on operational data the authorized admin is allowed to access.

Aegis may be wrong.

Aegis does not replace supervisor judgment, emergency services, legal advice, payroll decisions, safety procedures, or human review.

Important actions should be confirmed manually by an authorized user.

9. NFC tags and physical products

CheckpointGuard may offer NFC tags or related physical products for use with the service.

NFC tag orders, shipping times, availability, delivery, returns, and refunds may be subject to separate written terms, Stripe checkout information, or direct agreement.

Customers are responsible for using NFC tags properly and placing them only where legally and operationally allowed.

10. Payments, subscriptions, and pilots

CheckpointGuard may be offered through pilot agreements, subscriptions, direct invoices, Stripe payment links, or written commercial agreements.

Prices, billing cycles, setup fees, pilot periods, cancellation terms, and renewal terms may be agreed separately in writing.

Payment does not create ownership of the software. Customers receive a limited right to use the service according to these Terms and any agreed commercial terms.

11. Acceptable use

Users must not:

• falsify patrol records
• fake NFC scans or geofence visits
• misuse SOS alerts
• access unauthorized accounts or data
• attempt to bypass security controls
• reverse engineer, copy, or resell the software without permission
• use CheckpointGuard for illegal surveillance
• upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• interfere with service operation
• use the service to harass, threaten, or unlawfully monitor people
• make false claims about CheckpointGuard, including false certification/security claims

12. Data and privacy

Use of CheckpointGuard is also governed by the Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, how it is used, how it is shared, how long it is retained, and how users may request deletion.

13. Account deletion and data requests

Users may request account deletion or data deletion through:

Some records may be retained where required or justified for security, fraud prevention, legal, tax, accounting, audit, contractual, dispute, or operational reasons.

Deleting an admin account does not automatically delete all company, guard, patrol, SOS, NFC, geofence, invoice, or operational records unless the requester is authorized and the deletion is legally and operationally appropriate.

14. Intellectual property

CheckpointGuard software, dashboards, apps, designs, branding, logos, documentation, code, and related materials remain owned by the operator or relevant rights holder.

Customers and users receive only a limited, non-transferable right to use the service.

No source code, ownership, trademark rights, or intellectual property rights are transferred unless agreed separately in writing.

15. Service availability and changes

CheckpointGuard is provided on a best-effort basis, especially during early pilot or testing stages.

The service may be updated, interrupted, changed, suspended, or discontinued.

CheckpointGuard does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device, network, hotel/site environment, NFC tag, or GPS condition.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckpointGuard and its operator are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost business, loss of data, customer misuse, device failures, internet failures, GPS/NFC inaccuracies, third-party service failures, emergency response failures, or security incidents outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation is not allowed by law.

17. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated for:

• non-payment
• misuse
• security risk
• unauthorized access
• violation of these Terms
• illegal activity
• abuse of SOS, messaging, AI, patrol, NFC, or reporting features

18. Third-party services

CheckpointGuard may use third-party services such as Firebase, Google Maps, Stripe, hosting providers, email providers, push notification services, analytics providers, and AI infrastructure.

Use of these services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

19. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

When updated, the "Last updated" date will change.

Continued use of the service after changes means the user or customer accepts the updated Terms, unless otherwise required by law or contract.

20. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
