Is a free trial the same as free software?
No. A trial is temporary. A permanent Free plan supports ongoing use within its limits. Always check what happens to access, data and billing when a trial ends.
Start with Google and use the current Gold trial for 14 days. Afterward, the same workspace continues on Free: one active site, up to two active guards and five QR/NFC checkpoints. No credit card is required.
Add your site, guards and checkpoints. The initial trial includes the existing Gold features and limits, including up to two sites and two guards. Live GPS, history, geofencing, scheduling and attendance work as they do in the current Gold trial. The field app runs on Android.
Free costs €0 forever. QR and NFC checkpoint interactions and basic patrol activity continue. Free makes the most recent 30 days of basic patrol history available; existing data follows the normal retention and privacy rules. A checkpoint scan records an interaction, not every task performed. Offline records may upload later and do not provide live confirmation.
When more than one site exists, the administrator chooses the active Free site. A single site stays active automatically. Keep up to two guards and five configured QR/NFC checkpoints active. Unselected setup remains saved and locked, so you can return to it after upgrading. QR and NFC records count together toward the five-checkpoint cap.
After the trial, Free stops new continuous Gold-only GPS tracking. Live locations, GPS history and geofencing lock. Scheduling, time/attendance, automatic scheduling and labour-cost tools also require a paid plan. Historical GPS data is not deleted just because the trial ended. Free does not include Aegis or other Platinum features.
The web admin keeps a Free badge and Upgrade control visible. The paid checkout is the existing CheckpointGuard flow. Upgrading restores access allowed by the purchased plan, including saved sites and setup. Select Gold if you need Live GPS and workforce functionality.
Free is a fit for a small Android patrol with a short checkpoint route and no ongoing need for continuous GPS or workforce management. If the contract needs several active sites, more checkpoints, live supervision or payroll preparation, evaluate the appropriate paid plan during the trial. CheckpointGuard does not replace statutory payroll processing.
A permanent small-site plan and an enterprise suite solve different problems. Use the buyer’s guide to compare field devices, reporting, workforce requirements and published buying terms.

No. Live GPS, GPS history and geofencing are included in the initial Gold trial and require Gold after it ends. Free retains QR/NFC patrols and basic recent patrol records.
No. Choose one active site on Free. Other sites and their setup remain saved for a later upgrade, subject to the normal retention and privacy rules for historical records.
